Monday, Feb 15-Friday, Feb 20
Ok, let’s get back to the meat and potatoes. Last week some interesting developments occurred on the Y&R. Victor offered Ashley Abbott…that’s right, Abbott…a seat on the Newman board. But wait! Before Ashley could officially accept in front of the other board members Colleen (Brad’s daughter) steps up and says that she is going to take over her deceased father’s seat on the board! Well, I wonder how long Victor is going to allow a wisp of a young girl to thwart his plans.

Chloe goes into labor out at the cabin in the middle of the woods in a snow storm. Yeah, first thought is what the hell she is doing there in the first place. Why, checking on her secret love Billy of course to see what he is doing with the girl of his dreams Lily (yeah that’s Lily not Chloe; Chloe definitely needs to get a grip). Well, anyway while there she goes into labor and Billy ends up delivering his own baby; who Chloe has been trying to pawn off as belonging to Cain, Billy’s brother. Guess who then shows up to the party? Cain of course and he is dumbstruck to find that Chloe is there and has given birth to who he believes to be his little girl. Lily, Billy, (LOL, that rhymes) and Cain all get the baby and Chloe back to the city in the hospital. Chloe has been having some major problems since having the baby however the baby is doing fine. Chloe ends up just fine as well and ends up telling Cain that the baby is not his; the baby’s father is actually his brother Billy. Needless to say Cain is furious, however he does a very odd thing he says that he is still going to be the father to this baby and he is going to be the one to raise her. He also says that no one is going to take the baby from him.

Neil and Karen find out that Ana’s mother looses her parental rights so Karen immediately wants to adopt Ana. The only problem with that is Tyra, Ana’s aunt wants to adopt Ana and she also wants to take Neil from Karen to boot. Karen walks in the house to see Tyra kissing Neil and instead of being a woman about the thing she leaves without saying a word. So neither Neil nor Tyra know that she saw them kissing. Neil pretty much turns down Tyra’s advances which makes Tyra fearful that Neil and Karen are going to try to Ana away from her.

A Break From Make Believe
This week I thought I would take a break from T.V. land drama to post about some real-life drama. As I am sure everyone has already heard, (unless you are deaf, blind, dumb, and living under a rock all at the same time) Chris Brown seems to have gotten himself into a bit of trouble. Now, until now I was one of the few people on the planet who decided to reserve all opinions and comments until I knew with some certainty that there was some truth to the reports I was and still am hearing. Well, with the recent written statement that Chris has released it seems he was doing something on that fateful night (which I’m sure he will never forget) for which he feels “sorry and saddened” for. Of course he did not go into any details about what transpired due to legal ramifications; however I feel really saddened myself over the whole mess. While I have no idea how far or how badly things got I can’t help but think where there’s smoke there’s fire.

I feel that when young adults and pre-teens become superstars they sort of take on becoming a role model of sorts for their young fans. Unfortunately, their younger fan base sees the glamour and popularity and of course they want to idolize them and in some ways even imitate what they see them do. While I do know that most of these superstars rarely asked to be role models, especially when you think of the responsibility that position holds, I feel that is a small price to pay for all the other perks and advantages that comes with their careers. Without knowing what happened again I do not wish to pass judgment; however I am willing to bet my last pair of drawers that Chris Brown wishes he could go back to that night and remember that he is a role model and as such he has much at stake.

Monday, Feb. 1st-Friday, Feb. 6th

In continuation from last week, Nick believes that Sharon needs to know about Noah’s accident so he decides to go out to the cabin where Sharon has been staying since she has no phones. Phyllis is none to happy about this (seeing as how Sharon and Nick used to be married) but finally agrees to allow Nick to go. She later regrets her decision and follows Nick with the hopes of getting to the cabin to bring him back home. As she gets closer to the cabin the road closes and she is greeted by a police officer who tells her she will not be able to get to the cabin and all the roads are closed. Defeated she returns back home without Nick. Of course, while Nick is stranded out at the cabin with Sharon they have sex. Nick and Sharon are finally able to leave the cabin and return home after spending a whole day together. Phyllis upon seeing Nick is able to guess that he slept with Sharon however instead of letting her anger get the better of her she decides to try to still make her marriage work (go figure).

Meanwhile Colleen asks J.T. to go with her to try and search for her dad (Brad) since no one has been able to contact him or find him since the blizzard. They track him to the abandoned car on the side of the road and find his cell phone inside the car. Colleen starts to worry that her dad is stranded out in the storm or possibly worse. Back at the hospital Noah remembers that it was Brad that pulled him out of the lake. Later that day the search team finds Brad frozen in the lake and J.T. tells Colleen, Victoria, Ashley, and Abby the terrible news. Sharon also takes the news hard when she hears about Brad’s death.

Finally, Mrs. Chancellor was able to convince the pawnbroker to admit he brought the ring from her and with this new development she now has enough evidence to order a DNA test. Looks like it won’t be long before Mrs. Chancellor is able to claim her old life back.

Back to reality…Victor tells Neil that he is considering Ashley as a replacement to Brad on the Newman board of directors. Well, well, well an Abbot on the Newman board; that's just simply unheard of!

Monday, Jan. 26th- Friday, Jan. 30th

I must start by saying for my own sanity and to cut down the length of my posts each week I regretfully will only post about my favorite CBS soap opera which is The Young and the Restless. Due to time restraints I cannot write about the other soaps, however I do want to stress that each one has its own exceptional story line that is definitely worth watching.

This week on the Young and the Restless:
Amber, Daniel, Jana, and Kevin all break into the pawn shop to prove that Mrs. Chancellor’s ring was pawned there. Amber leaves her cell phone behind. Oops! The pawn broker later calls the police and the cops now have Amber’s cell phone as evidence and it seems they are taking the break in at the pawn shop very seriously although they don’t have enough evidence to make an arrest as of yet.

The judge denies Mrs. Chancellor’s plea for a blood test to prove she is in fact the rightful Mrs. Chancellor. Kevin and Amber tell Mrs. Chancellor that they have found out who the pawn broker sold her ring to. Michael (who is working as Mrs. Chancellor’s attorney in this matter) calls the man who has the ring and sets up a meeting between him, Mrs. Chancellor, and the man. The plan works and Mrs. Chancellor gets the ring back in hopes of using it as leverage to persuade the judge to agree to allow her to prove she is who she says she is by taking the blood test. Michael also points out that for this to work they have to get the pawn broker to agree to testify that he did in fact buy the ring from Mrs. Chancellor in the first place. Yeah, good luck with getting a seedy looking guy who seems to have been on the bad side of the law a time or two to testify in a court of law.

The chickens are coming home to roost for Phyllis today. Brad sets up a meeting between him, Phyllis, and Nick (Phyllis’ husband). Brad comes clean about how Phyllis has been pushing him to come on to Sharon (Nick’s ex-wife) in the hopes of setting the two up. Phyllis admits that with Sharon now available she feels that Sharon will make a play to get back with Nick. During this meeting Nick punches Brad in the face for insulting Phyllis and Brad takes the punch like a pro, it seems to not even faze him a bit. Later Phyllis and Nick apologize to each other and try to keep the lines of communication in their marriage open (‘til next time that is).

Meanwhile Sharon has sequestered herself at the cabin in Twin Lakes all this week in hopes of putting her life in perspective. Jack comes there to gab about their pending divorce. Jack leaves and later in the week Brad shows up. Hoping to get the girl Brad? Brad confesses his love for Sharon and asks her to forgive him for conspiring with Phyllis. Sharon shoots him down, hell, we all know she wants Nick back.

Everyone wants Gloria’s stock in Jabot even Victor. Victor is willing to pay a pretty penny for it and Gloria ends up selling it to him. Victor sets up a meeting with Billy (Jack’s brother) and makes it clear that he is welcome to work at Newman Enterprises if or when the opportunity ever hits Billy. Funny that Billy didn’t feel the need to tell his brother Jack about this offer from the enemy. With the stock from Jabot Victor strikes a deal with Jill so that she will once again be the controlling stock holder of Jabot however in return for the stock he makes her name Billy as C.E.O of the company.

Roger proposes to Esther and she accepts. Don’t get me started on how gullible Esther is being she hardly even knows the damn man. Not to mention Roger is just playing his part of a hoax to get his hands on Esther’s money.

Eden and Noah (those crazy kids) cook up a scheme to go to the lake with a bunch of kids from school. Michael and Phyllis (Noah asks Phyllis because both his parents, Nick and Sharon are out of town) agree to let them go under the pretense of thinking that they are going to the Bowling Alley for a school fundraiser. Of course the scheme these two knuckle heads come up with back-fires. Apparently, there never was going to be any party at the lake with some of the school kids it was just a rumor and Eden and Noah find themselves at the lake alone with no cell phone reception and a blizzard on the way. Nick and Michael decide to go out looking for the kids while Phyllis and Lauren remain at home in case they call. Meanwhile, at the lake Eden and Noah decide to do a little ice skating and Noah goes out on the ice first; however he goes out to far and falls in. Eden runs off to look for help before Noah freezes to death in the icy lake. Brad who was out at the cabin in the same area (Twin Lakes) leaves and while driving home his car stalls and dies. While looking under the hood he hears Noah calling for help and follows his voice to the lake. Brad slides out on the ice and pulls Noah out of the water to save him. Meanwhile Sharon is still at the cabin with no phone reception and has no idea any of this is going on with her son Noah. While Michael and Nick are out driving around Nick gets a call on his cell phone that the kids have been found and Noah is in the emergency room. When Nick gets to the hospital and sees Noah in the bed he immediately thinks of Casey (flashback to his dead daughter) and how she died in a way all too familiar with this one. Noah eventually wakes up but doesn’t remember Brad helping him out the lake. No one knows at this point that Brad was even at the lake and he was the one who helped Noah out of the water. It appears he may have fallen in helping Noah.

Nikki gets some bad news that her sister Carey has cancer. She tells everyone that she is going away to be with her sister to help her for a while. Must be time for her to take a mini-vacation from the stories.
